SUMMARY

The Checklist for Naturally Beautiful Skin is useful for anyone who wishes to learn about the factors that contribute to their skin’s vitality and natural beauty as well as to learn how to best take care of their skin.

The Checklist offers comprehensive information about diet and lifestyle influences, covering both internal and external factors: sun exposure, smoking, exercise, nutrition, hydration, gut health, sleep, hormones, and stress. It also includes 1) guidelines for finding the best natural skin care products and what ingredients to avoid, 2) how to determine your skin type, 3) a basic skin care program, and 4) an evaluation process to identify how you can improve your current skin care routine.

TESTIMONIAL

“The Checklist for Naturally Beautiful Skin is self-care at its finest! The extensive information is for anyone who wants to really know how to take care of their skin. What woman (or man, for that matter) doesn’t want to look and feel their best, no matter what their age. Whether you are a novice or are experienced, there is something in this book for you. It will take you to a whole new level of understanding, especially after the evaluation process. Once you have your new skin care program in place, your skin will feel like you took off an old t-shirt and put on a cashmere sweater—and it will thank you for it!”

Author's Note:

The concept for this book, The Checklist for Naturally Beautiful Skin, first appeared as a chapter in Natural Skin Care in 1996. Because the information in this checklist is the foundation for all successful, personal, natural skin care programs, it merited being the single focus in a book of its own.

The Checklist covers both the internal and external factors that influence the health and appearance of your skin. Integrating both internal and external factors may require you to learn new information, trust the process, change habits, and make a commitment. It's worth the work. Because skin reflects internal health, natural skin care is also natural health care. The rewards are abundant and amazing. It is the hope and purpose of this book that you take good care of yourself and that your radiance and vitality be an inspiration to those around you.
